About the studio

Each brand project undertaken in my studio is built in an environment of creative collaboration and every stage of a project has been finely honed to make it as simple and effective as possible.

From discovery workshops to brand hand off every step is delivered seamlessly leaving you space to feel excited and inspired.

As well as outstanding expertise in brand design, brand strategy and digital design, I have extensive knowledge in stakeholder engagement, supporter engagement, multi team management, project management and creative direction.

I am passionate about diversity and inclusion, accessibility and best practices. And I’m always on a mission to educate myself in all aspects of my work.

About me

After studying Art and Design and Art History at college I went on to hold a senior design position at a leading digital and brand agency in the UK.

I’ve been running my own design studio for the past 13 years working with wonderful people and organisations including Benjamin Zephaniah, Care Rights UK, Womankind Worldwide, Social Innovation Exchange (SIX), NSPCC, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Transform Trade, and Holocaust Education Ireland amongst many others.

I host the successful podcast The Elastic Brand (currently on a hiatus) in which I interview amazing designers and industry leaders about what goes into creating successful brands. Guests have included Michael Bierut of Pentagram on the redesign of the Slack logo, Mike Kus on designing brands for digital, Jon Hicks on logo design and its limitations, and Laura Kalbag on ethical design, inclusivity and accessibility.

I’ve written for a number of design publications including Smashing Magazine, Web Designer Depot and contributed to the book The Business of Web Design. I’ve also been a guest on a number of podcasts discussing design, branding and business including Being Freelance, Make Life Work, and Smashing Podcast.

Outside of work my main interests are film and books, fashion, art, being by the ocean, bothering small dogs, and travelling.

I also co-founded Agrespect with my two friends Matthew and Ben back in 2019, an organisation that encourages equality, diversity and inclusion in the countryside and celebrates LGBTQ+ people in the rural industries.
