Elizabeth Elcoate is a multidisciplinary designer who specialises in digital design and branding. With many years experience working as a digital, and brand designer as well as a brand consultant, she has worked on launching digital campaigns with clients including Great Ormond Street Hospital, the NSPCC and the Brits. Liz’s branding projects have been launched in front of HRH Princess Anne, they have won a National Learning Award 2020 and have been nominated for a National Diversity Award 2020.
Liz hosts the successful podcast The Elastic Brand in which she interviews amazing designers and industry leaders about what goes into creating successful digital brands. Guests have included Michael Bierut of Pentagram on the redesign of the Slack logo, Mike Kus on designing brands for digital, Jon Hicks on logo design and its limitations, and Laura Kalbag on ethical design, inclusivity and accessibility.
She has spoken on the subject of the importance of effective branding when launching a successful startup. She has also written about branding, digital design, and running a business for Smashing Magazine, Boagworld, and Web Designer Depot and has also contributed to the book The Business of Web Design: Experiences – Volume 1.
