The challenge

With the system in crisis, too many people living in care don’t have their needs met, or their rights respected.

Care Rights UK, which used to be known as the Relatives & Residents Association (R&RA), wanted to clarify its support offer and increase the impact of its campaigning. The goal was to reach more people and provide more support, while lobbying for important changes to the Law, such as Gloria’s Law.

During the brand process, R&RA also joined forces with the Rights for Residents campaign, which now operates as the campaigning voice of Care Rights UK.

People experiencing poor quality care often feel anxious and overwhelmed and don’t know where to turn. Care Rights UK fills the gap by providing clear and accessible information, as well as emotional and practical support, to help people know their rights as well as navigating the complexities of the care system.

Our work

We worked closely with the Care Rights UK team create a warm and engaging visual brand and tone of voice.

We wanted the website and brand as a whole to feel like a place of safety and refuge for those coming to Care Rights UK for support at what is usually an incredibly stressful time in a person’s life.

The colours are fresh and uplifting, evoking a feeling of warmth, working well when communicating with supporters and those needing help and also when campaigning.

The new brand successfully delivers a warm and engaging visual style and tone of voice, which positions Care Rights UK firmly as ‘your care champion’. We are looking forward to seeing Care Rights UK have an even bigger impact as it reaches more people with its clear, appealing and distinctive new brand.
